Family robbed in new house
KAJANG: A family of six, who had just moved into their new home two weeks ago, received an unpleasant “house-warming gift” in the form of robbers in Bandar Sungai Long here.
Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Willey Richard said the family and their maid were fast asleep in the semi-detached house when they were awoken by six intruders at about 4.30am on Thursday.
“The six men were armed with parang and hammers. They tied up the victims and placed them in a room upstairs.
“They ransacked the house and made off with RM8,000 and two mobile phones in 40 minutes,” he said.
